Tri-Valley Upset By Morgon

State-ranked Tri-Valley was upset by Morgon Tuesday night losing their undefeated record. Brady Bowman drove the lane and found Kyle Dunn, who laid the ball off the glass as time expired, lifting Morgan to a 54-53 upset. The Raiders led by five points twice in the fourth quarter but missed two front ends of one-and-one free throw situations to keep the Scotties alive. The second miss set up Aaron Shumaker's hoop with nine seconds left to give the Scotties a 53-52 lead. But Bowman, a guard, was able to dribble the length of the court and find Dunn for the game-winner at the buzzer. Tri-Valley dropped to 8-1 in the MVL and 10-1 overall. The Raiders improved to 5-4 in the MVL and 7-5 overall. Bowman finished the game with 14 points and Lucas Williams had 18 points. The Raiders were 20-of-42 from the field (48 percent) - 9-of-18 on 3s. Williams and Bowman combined for seven 3s, while Bowman also had five rebounds and four assists. Wiliams, who hit four 3s, also had five rebounds. The Scotties finished 19-of-40 (48 percent) from the field. Shumaker added 15 points and Jordan Ayres had 10 for the Scotties, while Adam Bice grabbed nine of Tri-Valley's 21 rebounds along with 15 points.
